    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The IT Media Sales Support team is a highly motivated and productive group responsible for managing the engagement between DISH IT and the Media Sales business unit to deliver technology solutions that align with strategic company objectives. 


    The Business Analyst will be in a key role for shaping the strategy of the Media Sales needs of Dish Network by supporting daily systems issues, maintaining positive business relationships throughout the business community and IT, and driving revenue generating projects by consistently demonstrating a thorough understanding of the customer's business, their processes, and their priorities.



    • Become a subject matter expert on the current business processes and systems for Media Sales & assist in resolving daily systematic issues
    • Documenting and providing technical requirements for any projects involving Media Sales.
    • Improving existing processes and acting as an advocate for change by adequately illustrating, documenting, and understand the impact of gaps on the Media Sales team; Focusing on automation to strategically help resolve manual workflows
    • Manage vendor relationships and relationships with other DISH business & IT teams
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, product managers and team members to analyze information needs and functional requirements, and ensure the technical solution meets the business needs
    • Ability to troubleshoot computer applications and data issues
    • Understand and be familiar enough with datasets and workflow to the point of being able to assist in testing and QA of large datasets

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Buiness Analyst will have the following:

    • BA/BS in business or other relevant discipline (information systems, engineering, computer science, communications) and/or related experience; Bachelor’s Degree and three or more years of related experience; or three to five years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of eliciting, deriving and documenting requirements and process flow analysis across complex projects that include multiple systems and business units.
    • Experience analyzing and solving complex business problems
    • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills 
    • Strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills required, as well as the ability to advocate on behalf of another party  
    • Strong desire to learn a variety of technologies and processes with a “can do” attitude
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, handling multiple priorities, in a fast-paced environment
    • Some travel will be required (~1x/quarter)

    Nice to Haves:

    • Experience with large IT organizations, Media Sales, data analytics, or previous vendor management experience is a plus
    • Attention to detail and good time management and organizational skills is a plus
