Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH is looking for a Marketing Lead to join the dynamic Direct Marketing team. The right candidate will take ownership of direct marketing execution for targeted sets of consumers by designing direct response programs across e-mail and direct mail to maximize new customer acquisition efforts. They will partner with members of marketing strategy, analytics, and customer insights teams to continually test new offers, creative, and messaging. The candidate will coordinate project workflow, update reporting and support data-driven campaign execution.

 

 Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Planning and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Manage execution of new customer acquisition efforts and provide direction for continued improvement of direct marketing to targeted customer sets.
  • Drive creative direction that leverages the brand with relevance to the target segment.
  • Lead outside vendors to ensure marketing efforts are properly supported and deadlines are met.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for adoption where appropriate.
  • Create recommendations on program and production changes and gain leadership alignment. Serve as liaison with marketing leadership and internal departments. Provide innovative solutions.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Marketing Lead will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (MBA preferred); minimum 3 years of prior client-based experience in direct marketing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • A strategic mindset, a passion for innovation and process improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation and promote enthusiasm.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results with limited direction and manager involvement.
  • Working knowledge of print production and vendor management
  • Strong understanding of test methodologies and design.
