Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates must have a high level of experience in user interface / user experience design and web application development. This will include business analysis and requirements gathering and documentation from all business stakeholders and internal/external clients, wireframing, prototyping, and coordination of project development using agile methodology between Graphic Designers, HTML/CSS Layout developers, and Software Engineering team to deliver product to spec and on time. An amazing level of attention to detail is a must. Someone who knows best practices, can document them, and insure all UI/UX design follows those detailed specifications. Position reports to the Sling TV Creative Director.


Job Duties:


  • Collaborate with E-Commerce team to understand user experience opportunities and create design solutions that meet business goals.
  • Develop an understanding of the Sling TV brand, overarching business goals and website user behavior across marketing channels and devices to inform design solutions
  • Lead information architecture and create wireframes to propose solutions to business stakeholders
  • Build interactive prototypes for web applications
  • Work with front-end developers and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to spec and on-time.
  • Stay abreast of UX trends as well as corporate and industry standards to find creative ideas and share them with teammates
  • Evolve visual design for various interfaces, including responsive websites, mobile devices, and apps
  • Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce a brand’s style and voice
  • Create and organize production assets
  • Manage a component library and web style guide

Skills - Experience and Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in interactive design, graphic design, or other related fields
  • 3-5 years of UI/UX, graphic and visual design in a corporate or agency setting and/or combination of relevant experience and education
  • Creative thinker who can effectively innovate big ideas and also work out all the details
  • Experience in user-centered design process
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various job functions; ie. developers, business leaders, creative and users
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders with differing opinions, taking feedback constructively to iterate on designs quickly
  • A passion for championing UX and innovation while driving towards business goals
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager
  • Skilled in using design, wireframing and use-case tools
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Portfolio demonstrating your UI/UX skills
