    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Do you want to be a part of the team that supports one of the largest, carrier-class MPLS networks in the country? This network carries live digital video signals, Video-on-Demand traffic and SlingTV traffic. This network is cutting-edge, dynamic and rapidly growing.  If you are looking for a a Cisco-heavy, 4 9s environment to flex your networking muscles, we want to talk to you!

     

    You like…… 

    • Leading research and evaluating new technologies.
    • Concentrating on the routing and switching world but can talk load balancing and security.
    • Engineering and deploying new technology in the large-scale production network in the broadcast centers, data centers and the nearly 200 POPs around the country.
    • Solving the thorniest operational problems from a Tier 4 perspective and teaching junior engineers while you're doing it.

     

     

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

     

    You have…

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and 5 or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A broad background in Layer2/Layer 3 switching including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS.
    • Hands-on experience with the latest Cisco and Juniper switches.

     

    You're Awesome At…

    • Network security (GIAC, CISSP, SSCP, CCFP), firewalls (Cisco ASA, Check-Point, Juniper SRX) and IDS/IPS technology
    • Virtual Device Context (VDC), FabricPath, TRILL, FEX, VXLAN, FCoE, Virtual Routing & Forwarding (VRF) design/implementation
    • Application delivery and load-balancing technologies: F5 LTM/GTM, Citrix NetScaler, and A10.
