Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH is looking for a seasoned direct response marketer to enhance the dynamic Marketing Execution team. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Execution, the right candidate will supervise direct marketing fulfillment and innovation for targeted sets of consumers by designing offline and online direct response programs to maximize customer acquisition and/or new customer upsell. S/he will partner with members of marketing strategy, analytics, and customer insights teams to continually test new offers, creative, and messaging and support the development of business cases to optimize return on marketing investments. 


Primary Responsibilities Fall into the Following Categories:

  • Manage execution of integrated customer acquisition efforts and/or existing customer upsell and provide direction for continued improvement of direct marketing to targeted customer sets
  • Create and execute a compelling team vision
  • Work closely with marketing executives and represent Marketing to other departments and corporate executives
  • Plan and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Drive creative direction that optimizes response and conversions while elevating the DISH brand
  • Ensure marketing efforts are properly supported internally and externally, and deadlines are consistently met
  • Drive innovation, consistently showing improvement in individual and team results
  • Create recommendations on program and production changes and gain leadership alignment to serve as a liaison with marketing leadership and internal departments
  • Actively involved in developing the direct response marketing strategy as well as analyzing campaign and tactic performance with a data-driven approach to optimizing results

Skills - Experience and Requirements

          A successful Senior Manager will have the following:

  • MBA, Relevant Masters or compensatory experience and a minimum 5 years of prior client-based experience with expertise in direct response marketing, including email, direct mail and other print and digital media is preffered 
  • Experience leading integrated, multi-media campaigns
  • Proven ability to motivate team members to achieve performance beyond expectations
  • Ability to set budget strategy and optimize investments across marketing
  • Proven ability to successfully coach, mentor and motivate employees of all experience levels, including other people managers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Adobe Creative Suite a plus 
  • Seen as a role-model of professionalism and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to drive exceptional performance both individually and as a team leader
  • Working knowledge of print and digital production, campaign management tools, and vendor management and a strong understanding of test methodologies and design
