    The Role

    We are seeking a passionate, energetic and flexible individual to join our International Business Unit as a Marketing Specialist - Arabic.  Our team operationalizes, markets, and sells international programming packages, available in over 20 language groups, within the United States. 


    The Marketing Specialist or Lead - Arabic will be responsible for developing marketing strategies and tactics designed to grow and retain subscribers of Arabic packages for both DISH and Sling TV.  The Arabic ethnic market includes all Arabic language customers and is one of our largest market segments within our business; an energetic brand marketer with relevant cultural expertise is required to help accelerate growth within this segment.  This position will report to the Brand Manager - International.


    The scope of the role may include but isn’t limited to developing and managing brand campaigns and plans catered to the Arabic market within the US.  S/he will work cross functionality across the team and the enterprise with key stakeholders to ensure all International business unit requirements are met, and initiatives can be launched on time and within budget.


    S/he should be comfortable working autonomously in a fast paced environment, taking the initiative, managing multiple reporting requirements and relationships with key stakeholders, and working to find creative solutions as needed.


    The Responsibilities

    • Along with the Brand Manager - International, develop brand plans, campaign & creative development and management for both DISH and Sling TV’s Arabic business
    • Own Arabic culture expertise in assessing campaign and creative strategy and effectiveness
    • Manage marketing relationships and co-marketing activities and spend with Arabic programmers
    • Liaise with internal team members (digital, grassroots, retention, etc...) for campaign delivery
    • Manage external creative and marketing agencies for campaign and tactic delivery
    • Liaise with marketing analytics to establish campaign measurement and results reporting
    • Manage Arabic marketing budget and spend to predefined objectives and KPI’s


    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    The Right Stuff

    • Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university AND 2 to 4 years of relevant experience and/or combination of education and experience 
    • Language skills in Arabic (fluent verbal and written comprehension) is required
    • Experience in marketing in a role focused on the Arabic ethnic market is required
    • MBA a plus but not a requirement
    • Experience working in an agency environment is a plus
    • Understanding of marketing metrics, including reach, frequency, ROI and CPA is a plus.
    • Excellent MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills desirable
    • Strong collaborative/ team work skills; a problem solver with a results orientation
