Job Duties and Responsibilities

The traditional pay-tv business is saturated and transitioning closer to a new normal with each year.  Our team is responsible for bending the curve of the industry’s change and pushing the envelope with radical new ways to retain customers.  Working in Retention requires a willingness to “swim upstream”, push crazy ideas, and a relentless desire to get better – as a department and as individuals.  To be successful in this role, you need to be comfortable wearing many hats and working on multiple projects at once.  This role will lead efforts to:

  • Supports the development and implementation of retention programs, from concept stage through execution, that can be presented to DISH customers to manage churn. 
  • Use data and anecdotal evidence to come up with win-win strategies that increase the lifetime value of a customer. 
  • Effectively influence leaders and key partners to gain alignment.
  • Serves as the liaison between our team and our partners outside Meridian (DISH headquarters) to ensure that everyone understands the goals of various Retention programs and best practices on how to make them successful. 

Skills - Experience and Requirements

Qualifications and skills:

  • Proven project management skills.  The ability to multi-task, be organized and a self-starter.
  • Excellent communication skills to a wide range of audiences. 
  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritize and work under pressure, while not being overly sensitive, quickly frustrated or easily flustered.
  • Bachelors/Masters in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline strongly preferred; 5+ years of experience preferred.
