Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Business Operations Analyst – Digital Engagement and Customer Self-Service is responsible for eliciting business vision, scope and requirements for ad hoc transactional emails.  Additionally, this role is involved in helping to shape the strategic direction for how we communicate to our customers as an enterprise.  The role gathers, tracks, and analyzes business requirements and data and must be able to identify areas of improvement for our overall communication strategy. An ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering business solutions which build value for organizations.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Daily organization and coordination of ad hoc transactional emails.  Strong command of English language and grammar a must to ensure transactional communications are concise and error free.
  • Regularly gathers, tracks, and analyzes business data, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Communicates results and suggestions to upper management while providing operational support for ongoing development and process improvement initiatives.
  • Manages the planning, development, design, and implementation of assigned program/projects with several diverse business units.  Including tracking schedules, issues, tasks, and relevant financial impacts.
  • Coordinates the design and launching of ad hoc transactional emails.
  • Engages with internal customers to understand the desired message and audience, to ensure that their business needs are being met.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Business Operations Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously from requirements gathering through implementation following the Software Development Life Cycle preferred.
  • Strong business, analytical, communications, and/or marketing experience; strong/advanced skills in MS Office Suite and Microsoft Project (especially in PowerPoint and Excel). 
  • Experience with HTML is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to interact with and communicate effectively with a large spectrum of different stakeholders from marketing, operations, senior business executives, and technology vendors.
  • Must be able to handle different situations and tasks with minimal direct oversight from management. Applicant must be comfortable working without direct supervision and be internally motivated to seek out projects and drive forward needed initiatives.
