Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Customer Service Center (CSC) Leadership Development team establishes uniformed and predictable learning for leaders throughout the CSC organization.  We endeavor to produce ground-breaking leadership experiences that ensure success in productivity and engagement. 


A Leadership Development Specialist researches, builds, executes and measures training projects for DISH’s CSC Operations leadership team.  This position will also coordinate with various departments to align with operational objectives.


Primary responsibilities are described in the following categories but are not limited to:

  • Assess and identify learning and development needs and solutions for specific leadership roles to design leadership development programs; develop program curriculum, content, tools and processes to build leadership capability in alignment with organizational business objectives
  • Partner with DISH leadership to design and implement a management development strategy and programs that drive business results, employee engagement and retention
  • Execute on the most critical professional learning and development needs. Areas include, but are not limited to, supporting on-boarding initiatives, communication skills and consistent development of DISH leadership
  • Building strong partnerships with all stakeholders by proactively and regularly meeting with strategic partners across multiple departments/levels in order to communicate the business, determine needs, and support actions needed
  • Be effective in a variety of formal presentation settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, with all levels of the organization
  • Up to 50% of travel is required; primarily domestic travel. Must be able cover travel expenses at the time of travel (reimbursed upon completion) Must have a valid credit card, a U.S. State-issued driver’s license, and passport

Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Leadership Development Specialist will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and at least two years of related experience in Talent Development, Leadership Development, Organizational Development, and/or Training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with employee development, remote management and call center operations a plus
  • Knowledge base in advanced training methodologies, adult learning theory, and evaluation processes preferred
  • Competencies include excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, prioritization skills, the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to drive change
  • Flexible, innovative, and the ability to manage responsibilities & priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural documents
