Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking to fill a key sales position within our Commercial group. DISH Network's Commercial Sales group covers the Free to Guest and Multiple Dwelling Unit markets. As the Area Sales Manager, reporting to the Commercial Direct National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating and securing bulk agreements, Right of Entry (ROE) agreements and increasing Dish’s market penetration within an assigned territory and or vertical.


Primary responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager position include:

  • Achieve and exceed all sales goals and KPIs
  • Develop and implement an effective sales plan for assigned territory and/or vertical
  • Identify and contact new leads through cold calling, trade show participation, and market research.
  • Apply knowledge of customers, products, and industry to develop efficient solutions and achieve sales objectives
  • Develop profitable financial models for all deals
  • Seek out and attend vertical specific trade shows and marketing events
  • Coordinate with other departments to insure an efficient deal flow
  • Cradle to grave project management

Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Area Sales Manager will have the following traits

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or relevant work experience
  • 5 years of commercial sales experience in the cable/telecommunications or tech industries
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter that can accomplish goals with minimal supervision
  • Proven negotiation and consultative skills
  • Proven history of consistently achieving sales quotas
  • Creative and solution oriented strategic thinker
  • Experience negotiating and securing ROE agreements preferred
  • Working knowledge of HSIA & Wireless LAN solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Travel up to 50%
