Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Manager of Direct Marketing will lead DRTV and Radio strategies across Sling TV domestic and Latino lines of business, owning all aspects of planning and strategy and will report to the General Manager of Direct. The Senior Manager will manage media planning and buying working with external agency.  The Senior Manager will ensure efforts have the urgency and focus to deliver on our acquisition goals, and will bring a data-driven approach to driving Direct Marketing performance.  


Additionally, the Senior Manager will be responsible for the following important activities:


  • Develop a detailed understanding of campaign performance at the tactic and segment level
  • Manage investments to maximize new customer acquisition (at or below the target allowable) and deliver on growth goals
  • Develop a Test & Learn agenda to drive continuous improvement in performance
  • Leverage consumer insights to evolve the creative execution and targeting strategies as required
  • Work closely with Ecommerce and call center leads to insure strong conversion rates



Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Senior Manager Direct Marketing will have the following: 


  • Bachelor's degree from four year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and two plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven leadership skills, a strategic mindset, a passion for innovation and agile responsiveness
  • A minimum of seven years agency/client experience
  • Strong working experiences with DRTV and Radio direct response tactics
  • Decisive & effective problem-solving ability; Very strong analytical skills; both qualitative & quantitative
  • Proven communication and presentation skills: advanced ability to present & sell recommendations and to adjust presentations accordingly based on feedback
