Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day marketing partnership with key Amazon sales channels, including “on device” marketing on Amazon Fire TV and Fire Tablet devices,, Subscribe with Amazon. Key liaison with key Amazon partner contacts, including Amazon Fire TV team and Amazon Media Group. Role will require up to 20% travel to New York, Seattle, Bay Area, L.A.
  • Full accountability for achieving profitable subscriber targets across all Amazon sales channels, including: Development and implementation of growth strategies; development of subscriber acquisition budgets and forecasts; optimization of offer structure including free trials and promotional device bundle offers; reporting and analytical insights for continuous improvement of key performance indicators, including: Response rates, cart conversion, conversion from free trial to paid subscribers, account activation, viewing hours.
  • Comprehensive media planning with particular emphasis on Fire TV platforms, including: Development of media plans, including paid media and editorial placements; execution of insertion orders; segmentation and targeting strategy, including creative and messaging strategy, on device customer journey, off platform retargeting of Amazon Fire TV users.
  • Track competitive activities, market developments and consumer insights to adjust marketing strategies and help define requirements for continued product improvements. Optimize customer experience in cooperation with Sling TV Product and Operations teams through effective implementation of functional capabilities such as Alexa Voice Integration, Universal Search, Subscribe with Amazon, Login with Amazon, Amazon Pay, “Over-the-Air” local channel integration.
  • Build and manage a team of 2-4 marketing professionals for media planning, scheduling, content planning and coordination of creative execution.


Skills - Experience and Requirements

  • 5 years+ digital media planning expertise, ideally with an SMP (Streaming Media Player) platform either in an agency or client environment (vMVPD streaming service).
  • Proven track record in developing and executing profitable marketing growth strategies in a digital subscription business.
  • Extensive experience in successful marketing partner management; strong relationship and network building capabilities.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Highly adaptive with a passion for innovation and agile responsiveness.
  • Very strong analytical skills, both qualitative & quantitative.
  • Marketing or Business degree, MBA a plus.
