Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH’s Media Sales team is a fun and interactive group primarily split between our corporate office in Englewood, Colorado and our New York City office. Our Traffic team supports the DISH Media Sales team providing quality service to advertising clients across the country with innovative and exciting advertising solutions. An Operations Specialist will perform daily operational and clerical task to maintain the on air product. 

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Accurate data entry in a deadline driven environment, ensuring advertising content airs and bills according to media sales requirements.
  • Manage sales inventory on multiple networks, maximizing revenue with minimal errors; investigate and resolve problems, satisfy client needs and manage expectations.
  • Interact with sales, engineering, finance, etc. departments for business fulfillment, performing tasks associated with managing orders, programming and inventory; adjusting and verifying advertising content up through billing.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident, cross train within the department.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Operations Specialist, Media Sales will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Relevant industry experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of personal computers and data entry required and must be comfortable with multiple operating systems and software applications. 
  • Familiarity with Traffic and Operations software such, Crossroad, Deal Maker, Wide Orbit, OSI, SeaChange or other broadcast software and tools a plus.
