Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Sling Self-Help team is working to become an industry-leader in customer care. By coupling customer data with innovative digital service options, we strive to increase customer satisfaction while developing new methods for customers to help themselves. The Self-Help Content Copywriter will be responsible for providing digital solutions for customers through our online Help Center and social media accounts. As an integral part of the team, you will help shape the creative direction of our digital content from concept to execution and be responsible for creating clear, concise, and compelling copy.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Author Help Center and social media content, and any copy needs for images, videos, animations, or voice instruction
  • Translate common customer-reported issues into posts and visuals that help people resolve issues and better understand key features
  • Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, and accuracy, ensuring that everything we create is of the highest possible standards
  • Define, develop and manage relevant metrics and dashboards to track and improve performance
  • Use business intelligence to recommend, initiate, and manage projects that will help improve business processes and customer experience
  • Build close relationships with leadership and teams across the organization to ensure your work is aligned with all business activities

Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in creating, writing, and publishing marketing content OR 5+ years in creating, writing, and publishing marketing content
  • Ability to take technical content and make it easy for non-technical audiences to understand
  • Meticulous writer and editor with exceptional command of English grammar, spelling and punctuation 
  • Ability to create and revise copy quickly and maintain consistently excellent standards under pressure
  • Extreme attention to detail, combined with the ability to focus only on the details that matter so that writing is clear and simple 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communicator and ability to explain the reasoning behind your ideas and creative decisions, and respond to feedback quickly and effectively
  • Strategic thinker
  • Understanding of Sling product and support options available to our users
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bonus points for video editing experience
