Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Business Operations Analyst – Digital Engagement Business Intelligence will work within the Business Process and Technology (BPaT) group as a part of the Customer Experience Operations (CXO) organization and is responsible for building reports, KPIs, and dashboards to be used both internal and external to the department. This position will also be responsible for maintaining a data mart which will enable the team to design and build reports as well as prepare ad-hoc analysis in an efficient manner. This Business Operations Analyst will work directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to suggest improvements to their products to help increase digital engagement and increase customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role will be involved in preparing and delivering in-depth analysis of diverse topics with the intent of providing useful actionable information to executive leadership, especially around our self-service tools effectiveness.

 

 

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Build tools and reports to help department analysts keep a pulse on their business and alert them to violations of trends
  • Prepare, produce, and validate daily, weekly, and monthly reports specifically to measure, monitor, and alert the business in cases of unforeseen spikes, dips, trend changes
  • Identify potential opportunities for process improvement and report automation using various methods, i.e.  Tableau, external data sources, IT development, and execute changes to systems with little or no impact
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and fully understand processes and their impact on the overall business; analyze, identify, and implement potential process and systems enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports; assist in the completion of projects and using discretion to determine the methods to meet established goals
  • Create ad-hoc reports as requested in a timely and accurate manner to provide actionable date to senior level manager and above both internal and external to the department

Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Business Operations Analyst will have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Regression Analysis or Statistics, and 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL, Specific to Netezza, Teradata, SQL Server a plus; experience with Tableau a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP functions, and exposure to Macros
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with VBA for Office a plus
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and provide clear and concise communication with a wide audience of internal departments
