Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, installation, and maintenance of physical access control, surveillance, and intrusion systems.
  • Conducts surveys to gather field data; prepares drawings, layouts, and other visual aids showing locations of devices, equipment, and wiring etc. Reviews the development of designs for compliance with applicable codes.
  • Set-up and test new products and design concepts such as network devices, custom designed systems, etc.
  • Ability to perform startup, installation, closeout, and service of jobs and other tasks as assigned.
  • Daily communications with Project Manager on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs to ensure delivery of the project.
  • Able to work on a 24hr on-call rotation and travel to other locations
  • All work is performed in a clean workman-like manner and in compliance with NEC Article 725

Skills - Experience and Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Associates degree (2 year) in a technical capacity preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic AC/DC theory
  • 3+ years working in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory
  • Ability to read blue prints and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite, AutoCAD and VISIO a plus
  • Basic construction knowledge such as the ability to accurately read a tape measure, level, plumb, and square devices and material.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, (i.e. see, hear, speak and write clearly) to communicate with employees and/or customers; manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of objects, operation of power and manual tools/equipment, and operating office equipment.
