Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Media Sales is currently looking for a top-tiered advertising sales professional to call on advertising agencies and clients. This individual's success will be directly tied to an ability to help our client's strategize and achieve their growth objectives. The Account Executive is responsible for making sales calls to new and existing customers. We are looking for candidates with strong existing relationships and business development acumen to help grow our business.
Job duties and responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Meet and exceed budgeted revenue goals and activity levels on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Manage a list of advertising agencies and clients in Los Angeles as well as a geographic territory.
  • Build and create sales strategies and proposals for existing and new accounts.
  • Become the expert in the Data driven TV and Addressable TV marketplace, Over the top, new media and digital convergence within the media ecosystem.
  • Be an ambassador for the DISH Network & SLING TV brands by representing at industry events.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of current broadcast TV and online advertising trends and innovations.
  • Work cross-functionally across sales, operations, product, marketing and finance teams. Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs and conferences, as directed.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Account Executive will have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, and 4+ years of Advertising Sales experience; or 9 to 11 years of Industry experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Track record of consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Highly self-motivated, resourceful, enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills - written, spoken and in presentations.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver who works well both individually and within a team.
  • Must possess the ability to articulate needs and provide direction in a clear and concise manner.
