Job Duties and Responsibilities

General Ledger position available for an adventurous accountant with an interest in disruptive technologies and the internet of things (IoT). You will be responsible for managing the financial statements of Sling TV, the industry’s first over-the-top (OTT) television service. In addition, this GL team maintains and analyzes DISH’s wireless spectrum which has begun deployment in pursuit of a next-generation 5G-capable network focused on supporting narrowband Internet of Thing (IoT).

 

Common Tasks Performed by the Accountants on this team:

  • Collaborate with individuals throughout the organization with an emphasis on sharing information
  • Compile relevant data and provide management with detailed expenditure reports, analysis, and forecasts as requested
  • Develop methodology to ensure the reliability and consistency of data reported to financial statement stakeholders
  • Research accounting transactions and ensure necessary corrections and adjustments are made
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers by listening attentively, identifying issues, and providing options
  • Develop ad hoc reporting that is relevant, actionable, and accurate to facilitate organizational decision making
