    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    We have a great opportunity for either a full-time or part-time Tax Accountant in our Tax department.

    • Review, analyze and approve monthly tax reports coming from various reporting databases.   
    • Perform monthly rate updates into all billing systems and test to ensure rates loaded properly. Enter satellite only rate overrides and update taxability to reflect law changes.
    • Update CommTax taxability matrix as directed by the audit team.
    • Perform UAT and production testing for new tax reports and customizations within the various billing systems and tax engines.
    • Work with IT to define, implement and test tax customizations needed to tax special promotions.
    • Work with 3rd party billers to setup tax engines and create reports needed for compliance and audit.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Tax Accountant will have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
    • Solid understanding of GAAP.
    • Knowledge of financial statements, charts of accounts, journal entry preparation and posting.
    • At least 1-3 years of accounting experience, including journal entry development/posting, account reconciliations, financial analysis.
    • Ability to complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines.
    • 10-key by touch.Hands on knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
