    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Finance Manager position in the In-Home Services (IHS) department, which provides customers with DISH installation and service visits through our nationwide corps of professional technicians.  The IHS FP&A group is responsible for strategic financial planning, annual budgeting, monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, forecasting operational and financial performance metrics, and ad-hoc analyses related to cost-savings opportunities, capital expenditures, real estate development, and other corporate initiatives.  The Finance Manager is responsible for leading and supervising a team of financial analysts responsible for financial and operations performance analysis and planning for each of our six field regions.


    Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

    • Leadership and development of financial analysts, with accountability to drive team results and meet responsibilities
    • Presentation of results, analysis, recommendations to executive leadership
    • Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and maintain annual budget model for IHS operations, including all internal and external operational units, along with developing complex financial and operational models
    • Financial Analysis: Review financial performance of internal and external service providers; provide recommendations and support to field managers and corporate executives; perform ad-hoc analyses related to cost-savings opportunities, capital expenditures, real estate development, and other corporate initiatives
    • Forecasting: Build and maintain weekly and monthly forecasting models for key operational and financial performance metrics, including weekly and monthly KPI scorecards.


    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Finance Manager will have the following:  


    • Strong leadership ability and high energy to achieve goals and meet deadlines
    • Ability to write reports/correspondence, present information and respond to questions from managers/executives
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint with some knowledge of database basics and ERP systems helpful (e.g. Microsoft Access, SQL, Oracle, Essbase/Hyperion, etc.)
    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts (statistics, probabilities, algebraic expressions, etc.) and ROI calculations (such as NPV, IRR), with an understanding of basic accounting principles
    • Well developed oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex concepts into understandable and easy-to-follow presentation materials
    • Master's degree (MS or MBA) in Finance with two plus years of relevant experience; Bachelor's degree in Finance and four plus years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience with demonstrated high performance
