    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    We are seeking an Analytics Analyst for an opportunity within Sling TV in Englewood, CO. This person will work with the Operations Analytics team to extract and analyze both structured and unstructured data to provide insights into customer behavior to all parts of the business. The analyst must have experience in translating business requests into data queries and in integrating data from multiple sources to create comprehensive and accurate data sets.

     

    Primary Responsibilities fall into the following categories:

    • Implement techniques to segment our customers and work with necessary stakeholders to determine how to improve individual segments
    • Manage data and processes between the data warehouse, data sources, and external partner/vendor tools and applications
    • Create ad hoc queries to provide insights into customer behavior
    • Interpret and use data to implement business improvements
    • Automate key reports for all parts of the business
    • Advise on structure and design of the Data Warehouse to meet information needs

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Analyst/Developer will have the following:

    • Minimum 2-3 years experience in any SQL language required. Experience designing and writing tables, stored procedures, views and functions
    • Strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: machine learning, statistical modelling/predictions, or data mining
    • Experience with Hadoop, Impala, Hive, Python, R, and Tableau preferred
    • Extensive experience exporting, analyzing, and managing data from multiple sources
    • Bachelor's degree from four year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and two plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
