    The Manufacturing Supervisor coordinates the activities of employees in a specific service function.   

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Performs reporting, performance appraisals and makes recommendations to superiors regarding hiring, terminations, training and discipline.
    • Reviews productivity of employees on a daily basis for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and determines workload for team members.
    • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
    • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
    • Traces history of unresolved issues to determine reasons for errors or needed corrections and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

    • Other responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    • Advises employees on daily work productivity levels and conducts weekly meeting with team members.

    • Capable of performing all job duties of direct reports at a high level of proficiency.

    • Performs all special assignments and complex level projects assigned by supervisor.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; and one plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

     

    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance/procedure instructions.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
