    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Senior Benefits Specialist/Supervisor is a front-line supervisor position in DISH’s corporate Human Resources department. This position is responsible for performing and supervising a wide variety of HR tasks related to Benefits.


    Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

    • Responsible for training, managing and developing a team of employees, and displays advanced supervisory skills.
    • Develops on-going vendor relationships, and is the main point of contact for benefit vendors and partners.
    • Maintains an advanced understanding of DISH’s benefit plans and philosophy.
    • Displays the ability to identify areas of opportunity, and develop more efficient processes and necessary audits.
    • Strong focus on improving the employee experience around benefits enrollment and education, and while interacting with the team.
    • Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and other applicable state and federal laws and regulations as they pertain to benefits.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Senior Benefits Specialist/Supervisor will have the following:

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university and two years related experience and/or training.
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of staff.
    • Advanced computer expertise that includes proficiency in databases, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to solve system and process issues.
    • Previous management or supervisory experience a plus
