    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Commercial National Sales Manager oversees National Account Managers who are responsible for new market sales. This position is responsible for the general oversight and growth of new market business, coordinating closely with Commercial Operations and Commercial Product Management to ensure that the necessary tools and resources are available to grow this business.  

     

    DISH Network has an employment opportunity for individuals with energy, intellect, and the need to achieve as a National Sales Manager. The job responsibilities include:

    • Manage the sales activities, personnel, and customer satisfaction efforts for direct commercial new market sales
    • Develop and implements strategic new market sales plans to achieve corporate goals including GUA, Revenue and Retention metrics.
    • Develop sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly for new market sales
    • Identify prospective DISH enterprise, transport and data sales pipelines
    • Development analyses including rate card strategies, technology needs and leveraging DISH competitive advantages
    • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote New Market products and services
    • Prepare ongoing reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed new market opportunities
    • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful National Sales Manager will have the following:

    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and four plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 5+ years supervisory/management experience.
    • 5+ years experience in business to business sales and/or account management experience.
    • Effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff.
    • Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
    • High level of computer expertise, including use of internet, database, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation applications SalesForce and Siebel. 
    • Flexible, innovative and the ability to manage time and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment while being personal and professional 
    • Ability to travel 30% of the time
