    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Sr. Manager of Pricing & Inventory will help to continue the transformation of media sales.  This person will work closely with the GM of P&I and the GM of Addressable with a focus on inventory forecasting.  Specifically the ideal candidate will be responsible for demand forecasting.  The position will own the thirty second spot but understand the relevance of the corresponding audience.

     

    • Monitor trends across DISH and Sling inventory supply while keeping track of sellout rates to forecast usage by corresponding bucket (i.e. General Market, Direct Response, Latino, Addressable, etc.)
    • Forecast inventory both in terms of traditional;30 second spots and the corresponding audience-based buying  
    • Create business rules around inventory usage and packages
    • Provide guidance on rate card creation based on yield analysis
    • Lead implementation and adoption of new yield management system
    • Work with pricing team on package generation and pricing decisions
    • Track addressable segment requests and make recommendations on future segmentation strategy
    • Ad hoc KPI reporting and analysis upon request

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Sr. Manager of Pricing & Inventory will have the following:

    • Understanding of ad tech space and how to leverage vendors to create new compelling ad products
    • At least 5 years of media experience with 2  years of inventory and/or yield management, plus at least 2 years of supervisory/manager experience
    • Experience with audience/impressions based buying
    • Digital advertising experience a plus
    • Advanced excel ability with ability to mine and extract data while running necessary analysis
    • Working Knowledge of SQL and Tableau
    • Independent self-starter
    • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication
    • Eagerness to learn new facets of the media business
    • Both analytical and flexible with the ability to work in a sales environment
