Dish Technologies, in Englewood CO, has an opening for an Embedded Software Engineer I who will design, develop and maintain set-top-box applications for DBS satellite and Internet based whole home audio/video entertainment solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering C and/or C++, Linux experience
Passionate about learning new technologies and development techniques
Familiarity with Software Development tools such as GNU Debugger (GDB), Clearcase, GIT, Jira, Agile Central,
Knowledge of Java, Java Script, NodeJS, Python, SQL, JSON, HTTP, XML Familiarity with real-time operating systems
Knowledge of multithreaded and/or multi-process programming
Experience with software design and development best practices
Knowledge of basic embedded system environment constraints
Experience in solving complex technical problems
Extreme Programming (XP) experience with Pair Programming, Test Driven Development
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Agile software development methodology experience
Automation and/or Scripting Experience
