    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Business Development Manager, Advanced TV & Digital will be responsible for identifying, developing and managing new revenue opportunities for SLING TV, DISH Advanced TV, DISH ANYWHERE and other DISH Media Sales digital/new media opportunities. 


    The candidate must have a history of evaluating business opportunities, closing revenue generating deals, an understanding of digital and television convergence and strong relationships within the digital, television and/or Connected TV ecosystem including brands, media agencies, measurement partners and vendors.  


    Strong analytical skills, a proactive communicator, the ability to handle multiple tasks and follow through under set timelines are mandatory.  This position will be based in New York City and report to the Director of Advanced TV and Digital Sales.


    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

    • Seek new business ideas, evaluate revenue opportunities and partnerships for DISH Media Sales by researching industry trends and conditions.
    • Screen potential business deals by examining market strategies, deal requirements, and financials; evaluate options are aligned with department and company strategies.
    • Provide in-depth analysis, handling multiple work streams, track progress and measure revenue results.
    • Become the expert on over the top, new media and digital convergence within the media ecosystem.
    • Be an ambassador for the SLING TV & DISH Network brands by representing at trade shows and industry events.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of current broadcast TV and online advertising trends, policies and innovations.
    • Work cross-functionally across sales, operations, product, marketing and finance teams.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Business Development Manager, Advanced TV & Digital will have the following: 

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, and 4+ years of television and/or digital advertising experience.
    • Track record of closed business.
    • Good negotiation skills and business knowledge.
    • Established personal network of digital, online and/or TV contacts.
    • Highly self-motivated, resourceful, good communicator with start-up personality.
    • Creative thinker and problem solver.
    • Works well both individually and within a team.
