    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    The Business Development Manager will work on our business development team and own a number of critical device, software, marketing, and distribution partnerships. They will also search for new and innovative opportunities to grow and improve Sling TV’s business. This is tremendous opportunity to join the #1 OTT service and make an impact on a rapidly changing industry.

     

    Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

    • Manage new and existing relationships with the world’s largest and most sophisticated technology companies.
    • Working alongside the Sling Product, Operations, and Marketing teams, the Business Development Manager will help determine and execute Sling’s strategy for partnering with these companies
    • The Business Development Manager will work with partners on new features such as voice assistants, app placement opportunities, and new subscription and payment models, as well as periodic contract renewals
    • After identifying and analyzing business development opportunities, and gaining buy-in from Sling’s senior executives, the Business Development manager will work directly with Sling’s Legal team to negotiate and close complex commercial agreements

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    Qualifications:

    To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate will have the following:

    • A relevant advanced degree and a minimum of 4 years post-undergrad work experience
    • Experience in a variety of areas including technology business development, financial analysis, contract negotiation, and relationship management
    • Intellectual curiosity with a demonstrated interest in technology and media
    • Determination to secure the best terms for Sling TV in the face of intense internal and external pressure
    • A willingness to do whatever it takes to successfully close deals and manage assigned partnerships   
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
