    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Infrastructure Team is responsible for designing, provisioning & managing core systems, network, data center & load balancing infrastructure 24/7/365 for the systems and platform delivering the SlingTV product. This includes Development, QA and Production infrastructure. Members of this team are also known as subject matter experts in Networking, Storage, Compute, Capacity and Operating Systems. Most of the members of the team have a particular skill set but over time have developed capabilities to resolve complex infrastructure issues.

     

    Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

    • Driving a customer centric, highly personalized approach to the evolution of our platform
    • Delivering software in a SAFe based agile environment, continuously

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Senior Engineer – AWS & Systems Administration will:

    • Have a 4-year college degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, master’s degree is preferred or equivalent professional experience
    • Have 5+ years of professional enterprise development experience
    • Have experience building and managing large, highly available enterprise grade applications
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with the AWS environment
    • Architect-level proficiency in AWS ecosystem or similar experience is required:
    • Compute (EC2, ECS,Lambda)
    • Application Services (Elastic Map Reduce, Glue)
    • Storage (S3, Redshift, DynamoDB other DB products)
    • Networking (VPC, WAF)
    • Security/Auth/Auditing (IAM, CloudTrail)
    • Monitoring (CloudWatch)
    • Experience in Terraform, Cloud Formation, or other IaC tools
    • Cost Optimization
    • Container Orchestration tools (Kubernetes(preferred) Docker Swarm, etc.)
    • CICD tools like BitBucket/Bamboo , Code Commit, Code Deploy, Jenkins etc
    • Nice to have : Confluent Kafka, Elastic Search
