    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    DISH's Manufacturing and Distribution division is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Littleton, CO to contribute as a team member in the design, development, testing, evaluation, manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems. This position will work on basic to intermediate leveled projects with moderate supervision and work towards gaining expertise in LEAN / Black Belt processes.



    • Support launch of new product and processes
    • Develop timelines and follow up on assigned tasks
    • Takes part in the design of tools, electrical equipment, components, systems, instruments, and products.
    • Reviews operational processes and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and product quality
    • Assists in planning and implementing research methodology and procedures related to engineering projects
    • Perform time studies and identify work pattern solutions
    • Data mine databases and spreadsheets to track performance and identify trends or opportunities for improvement
    • Create databases to measure identified variables and outputs of the product Assists in planning and implementing research methodology and procedures related to engineering projects
    • The ability to read, analyze and interpret safety rules, company policies, OSHA and production SOE's
    • Takes part in preparing and analyzing technical drawings, specifications, and maps to ensure installation and operations conform standards and customer requirements
    • Ability to work in a team environment with production operators, supervisors, and managers
    • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers in a professional environment
    • Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, installation, and maintenance standards and specifications
    • Assist with coordinating manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and testing activities ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
    • May write technical documents
    • Perform time study analysis and recognize work balance solutions from the data
    • Recommends new and/or enhancements to existing processes and procedures.
    • Utilize AutoCAD and/or Solid Works to create cell and plant layouts as well as tool design and analysis.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university
    • One to three years of experience in an industrial engineering environment



    • Ability to organize and prioritize using effective problem solving.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Must have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
    • Knowledge of electronic components and process controls
    • Must be familiar with root cause analysis and data collection methods
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
    • AutoCAD experience required, Solid Works knowledge is a plus
    • Project management experience and ability to manage a small team
    • Knowledge of OSHA requirements is a plus
    • Experience in implementing 5S solutions
    • Knowledge of time study and analysis
    • Ability to respond to common inquires or complaint from customers.
    • Ability to use a computer, collect data, define problems, establish and analyze facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to effectively present information to management.
