    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    This role provides simultaneous support to multiple internal teams/business units by effectively managing core internal communications tasks. This includes working with the DISH senior leadership team to communicate company values and priorities at quarterly All Team Meetings, stories on our employee intranet site, and regular email and video messages to tens of thousands of team members.

     

    In this position, team members are efficient task managers who are skilled in program execution, including writing/editing, research, special events, and establishing account/client administration processes. They also begin to take a supervisory or mentorship role with junior team members.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    • Compose internal communications plans that keep in mind our evolving and geographically disparate employee base and span tactics (emails, intranet posts, video, etc.); contribute to plan development process and develop strategy documents/proposals.
    • Create internal materials for mass consumption that support/promote our company’s strategic goals and cultural values, including emails, video scripts, etc.
    • Demonstrate solid written, oral and interpersonal communication.
    • Begin to manage the development of company documents and events; may include event logistics, event flow documents, internal stories, email, and video scripts.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of our business objectives and proactively suggest programs to meet those objectives.
    • Develop and manage external/internal company meetings or other events as needed.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and four-plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    SKILLS

    Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, business unit procedures, business policies. Able to write reports/correspondence/procedure manuals, and present information and respond to questions from managers/customers/general public.

     

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
