    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Senior Android Developer for the  DISH IT Mobile Applications team will produce exciting, forward-thinking, high-performing Android implementations of mobile application technology, including enterprise class customer-facing functionality for various departments at DISH that support our drive to deliver the best experience possible.

     

    Duties/Responsibilities – The ideal candidate will deliver in the following areas:

     

    • Actively participating and demonstrating excellence with all parts of the Software Development Lifecycle with Android mobile applications, including Requirements Gathering, Analysis, Design, Architecture, Development, Testing, Release, and Production Support
    • Participating in the mobile team’s development process and Agile @ DISH methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refining, and other planning activities.
    • Developing Android phone and tablet applications, functional libraries, and components using Java and Kotlin that satisfy business requirements and conform to DISH visual, logical and architectural standards,
    • Mentoring junior team members and performing code quality control, code reviews, and source code versioning using Git and Gitlab.
    • Developing mobile progressive web applications (PWAs) using technologies including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, jQuery, and Responsive Design.
    • Implementing performance, scaling, security, and usability enhancements to existing products and codebases.
    • Supporting release management activities, deploying program builds to development/test/production environments and maintaining CI/CD environments
    • Collaborating with TQA and UAT teams to analyze and resolve incidents, defects.
    • Maintaining existing test framework, test cases and Android application; executing automated test cases on a variety of consumer electronic devices.
