    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Marketing Specialist provides ongoing marketing support for the DISH Growth Segment – DISH Business. DISH Business is our television, technology and custom program tailored to businesses – everything from small local businesses to hotels to assisted living communities to airlines. The Marketing Specialist drives every day B2B marketing initiatives, including communication with internal and external partners, and development of marketing tactics, to drive activation goals and meet partner and overall segment needs.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Execute marketing strategy and tactic development to meet overall business goals and marketing objectives
    • Contribute to the growth of the DISH subscriber base by producing effective marketing that aggressively drives new activations for the DISH Business channel
    • Coordinate marketing and manage sales/partner relationships, focused on becoming a trusted marketing resource  
    • Ability to think strategically about both customer and market information at the B2B level, across all DISH Business verticals
    • Analyze key marketing data (sales, trends, consumer insights, etc.) that will inform the creation, development and execution of marketing projects
    • Financial responsibilities include budget management

      This is a high-energy role for a well-rounded business professional that can hit the ground running and drive results immediately. This role is demanding given the dynamic market landscape and new marketing challenges, and will allow the right candidate the opportunity to make a big impact in a short time as they grow a critical channel for DISH.  A successful Marketing Specialist will have the following:

      • Ability to influence and collaborate across various functional groups including sales, marketing, finance, internal creative agency, and legal, as well as external partners
      • Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team partnership and promote enthusiasm, desire to win the business every day
      • Must be results oriented and have an understanding of metrics and data, as well as the ability to infer implications and make recommendations based on key information
      • Motivated to learn new industries and marketing strategies (like B2B marketing), and deliver results with a high sense of urgency
      • Thrive in a fast-paced and ever changing environment with a high capacity to multi-task and handle tight deadlines on a daily basis
      • Bachelor’s degree from a top tiered four-year college or university required, two years of related experience
