    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    A Business Operations Analyst within our Business Process and Technology team works as a project manager primarily on application development for our internal DISH teams.  They will manage assigned projects and write front end business requirements to ensure that stated objectives are met write.


    Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

    • Write business requirements for front end tools and ensure requirements are passed to IT
    • Manages the planning, development, design, and implementation of assigned program/projects.  Including tracking schedules, issues, tasks, and relevant financial impacts.
    • Coordinates the development of requirements (processes, systems, etc) for new programs and enhancements to existing programs
    • Engages with DISH IT and DISH partners’ development from implementation throughout the program’s/project’s life-cycle.
    • Implements monitoring systems for evaluation and effective collection of feedback for ongoing programs as to drive improvements and future enhancement requests.
    • Other duties as required.  This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities assigned to this position.


    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Business Operations Analyst will have the following:

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to interact with and communicate effectively with a large spectrum of different stakeholders from IT personnel to field operations. Preferred: Programming background and an understanding of basic IT architecture.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office notably Excel. Preferably, an understanding of service codes and how different systems communicate with one another.
    • Must be able to handle different situations and tasks with minimal direct oversight from management. Applicant must be comfortable working without direct supervision and be internally motivated to seek out projects and drive forward needed initiatives.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
