    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Facilities Associate’s primary role is to perform various skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain a 24/7 facilities operation. Responsibilities include maintaining the mechanical, electrical, and life safety equipment as well as, the appearances of the facilities and grounds at various property locations.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

    • Perform daily site inspections of the facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation and condition
    • Perform preventive maintenance to building systems and equipment as assigned and create
      equipment check sheets as requested
    • Provide a report to the Facilities Engineer/Supervisor notifying any problems found
    • Perform electrical repairs, such as replacing lamps, ballasts, switches, receptacles, cord caps,
      wiring of single and three phase motors, and installation of circuits
    • Perform administrative duties which include but are not limited to creating and closing work requests using the Computer Automated Facilities Maintenance program
    • Provide support to engineering projects and installations
    • Provide assistance in office furniture reconfigurations, furniture moves and office moves as requested
    • Provide facilities related support for various events such as meetings, off-site events and other departmental requests
    • Ability to work various hours and respond to after-hours emergency requests

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • 1-3 years of related experience within a manufacturing/warehouse environment preferred; or
      equivalent combination of education and experience

    SKILLS

    • Basic but proven experience with a variety of trades in the maintenance of commercial office space such as the operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and life safety equipment supporting a 24/7 operation.
    • Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical for maintenance operations.
    • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment with limited resources.
