    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The iARPU Team is tasked with managing the company’s incremental revenue products (e.g. programming add-ons, pay-per-view, etc.).  The team works with senior management on DISH’s programming and packaging strategy, communicates the value of our products to our customers, manages ongoing business with our partners, and negotiates content acquisition and renewal deals in line with budget and overall strategy. The Programming Specialist will be a key member of the Premiums Programming Team.  Primary Responsibilities include:

    • Develop and implement marketing strategy for DISH subscribers to maximize revenue including email, social media, print, on-air, online, direct mail, interactive applications, and other tactics to communicate product value
    • Analyze campaign impact metrics, including response rate, ROI, sentiment improvements, churn reduction, sales and overall customer satisfaction
    • Assist with special projects in a project manager role as required; includes working with other departments within the company to identify and capitalize on new opportunities
    • Work with outside programming suppliers to execute co-branded marketing campaigns
    • Monitor competitor activity and best in class practices

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Programming Specialist will have the following:

    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable communicating with upper management; highly focused on building and maintaining strong internal and external business relationships
    • Sound analytical skills; both qualitative & quantitative and the ability to think creatively and independently, as well as collaboratively
    • Comfortable reading and understanding contract language and negotiation/deal experience (preferred)
    • Experience or demonstrated interest in the pay-TV industry
