    We’re looking for a National Manager of Wireless, part of our IHS Central Operations at our Corporate Headquarters!  Our Wireless team works with Corporate and Field teams to ensure uptime and reliability of the national wireless network across multiple technologies. The National Manager of Wireless will build and develop our national cellular tower technician crews, processes and programs to differentiate DISH from the wireless industry.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The National Manager of Wireless will be responsible for directly supervising the Regional Tower Managers and indirectly supervising the Cellular Tower Technician crews that are executing the preventative maintenance, maintenance and repair of Dish’s Narrowband – Internet of Things (NB-IoT) network.

    Primary responsibilities include: 

    • Building and executing team strategies by leading staff; hiring talented individuals, training, empowering and coaching employee success, and building future leaders of the organization
    • Setting monthly goals and projections for each Supervisor based on crew capability, SLA, and knowledge
    • Champion efforts effectively across multiple teams, building strong working relationships with partners in IHS, IT, Business Process and Technology, DISH Wireless and more
    • Maintaining reliable, accurate, and deliberate reporting and analysis with troubleshooting and enforcement of organizational standards, and use in order to develop new processes and procedures to streamline job site procedures and documentation
    • Directly advise and influence decisions of Wireless Managers, and indirectly advise and influence Supervisors and Tower Technicians in all aspects of tower maintenance
    • Act as safety advocate and Quality Assurance representative, ensuring compliance with company safety program and related workmanship practices
    • Ensure maintenance and proper use of company vehicles, tools, credit cards, and other assigned assets
    • Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a site tracking and workforce management system with complete accuracy
    • Reinforce quality and safety standards, updates and ensuring those updates hit the field
    • Ensure maintenance of all industry certifications among the team
    • Read and understand construction drawings and other applicable diagrams
    • This is a full-time salary position. You must be able to work beyond normal working hours of Monday through Friday including weekends as necessary. This position does require travel

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful National Manager of Wireless will have the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
    • 7-10 years of Project Management and Operational Management experience of up to but not limited to multiple supervisors, lead technicians and crews nationally
    • Experience in the telecom industry
    • The capacity to understand and manage multiple projects, multiple customers and personnel
    • Strong and positive leadership capability, high energy, and focus to exceed expectations
    • Well-developed oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to summarize complex concepts into understandable and easy-to-follow presentation materials
    • Must have experience and have strong skills in Microsoft Office, e-mail, and other PC applications
    • Strong communications skills with a polished ability to communicate both formally and informally with multiple, distinct audiences, including internal teams, senior management, customers, contractors, and external resources.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain budgets, P&L, and managing of resources
    • Commitment to excellence and high standards
    • Ability to work as a member of a team

    • Willingness to maintain industry certifications i.e. CPR/First Aid, AED, RF Radiation Safety and Awareness, Competent Climber Certifications, OSHA 30, OSHA 10
