    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    DISH’s media team is an innovative, passionate and fun group, working hard and finding reward in radically changing TV/Video advertising. We are based out of New York City, with offices in Chicago, Denver, Detroit and Los Angeles. SlingTV is a high-growth segment within DISH Media. We are in the fourth year of advertising monetization and maintain the #1 position in the Live TV OTT sector.


    The General Manager, Sling TV Client Services reports directly to the Director of Sling TV. The position supports the Sling TV team and oversees Account Management, Pricing & Planning and Ad Product. This team is responsible for building strategic media plans/proposals materials, ensuring flawless campaign delivery across multiple production teams to fulfill clients' advertising goals, driving optimal pricing strategies, spearheading Ad Product innovation and providing best-in-class customer service.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Manage a growing team of account managers and business analysts/specialists. Define organization structure and roles, hire, train, and develop the Sling Client Services team.
    • Consult sales teams on creating strategic pitches and proposals, assist in presenting to clients when appropriate to win new business.
    • Coach team on optimal post-campaign reporting and presenting results to clients to drive future business.
    • Collaborate with Dish Media Analytics team to best provide data-driven video kpi’s.
    • Develop pricing strategy, maintain rate card and provide pricing stewardship to sales teams.
    • Through client feedback and market research, identify new types of ad products and packages. Work closely with internal teams, such as product, data, tech, and marketing, to take new ad offerings to market.
    • Serve as the main Sling Ad Sales liaison with marketing and PR to assist them in creating new materials to promote our business.
    • Create and deliver reporting and presentations on sales highlights, forecasts and KPIs to multiple internal parties, including upper management.
    • Devise, evaluate and execute strategic and tactical recommendations on to grow the business.
    • Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects to implement tools to streamline processes and instill best practices across the team.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful GM, Sling TV Client Services will have the following:

    • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • 10+ years in digital advertising with experience in media planning, account management, pricing, and analytics.
    • Strong working knowledge of programmatic advertising, addressable/audience buying, CTV, measurement, linear and digital convergence and media sales financials.
    • 5+ years of management experience.
    • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Must be detailed oriented and organized with the ability to lead initiatives from start to finish.
    • Foundational knowledge of digital video and programmatic technologies
    • Excellent communication with strong client interaction and presentation skills.
    • A self-learner and creative problem solver who can navigate through unknown situations with minimal guidance.
