    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    As an Business Analyst I will possess a variety of technical and analytical skills to ensure addressable ads are delivered to set top boxes, and ad viewership verification files are transported from set top boxes to billing agencies. Responsibilities will include knowledge of addressable ad workflows to and from set top boxes, familiarity with the scripts that transport files within the workflow, troubleshooting workflow issues, testing workflow upgrades, and determining/managing workflow improvement projects. More specifically, a Business Analyst I will be acquainted with the systems that establish orders, target customers, manage inventory, implement schedules, package assets, transfer ads to the set top box, and verify ad viewership.

    • Coordinate program, episode, format, and window information for all networks between third parties and Traffic. Create manual formats and schedules when necessary. Keep all network schedules updated. Liaison between all third-party vendors to ensure formats, schedules, and inventory allocations are synchronized and current. 
    • Work with Team Members, IT Support, Program Management, Traffic, Echostar, and other partners in the implementation of addressable advertising projects/programs and their ongoing support. 
    • Assign National (Aggregate) and Local (Zone Targeted Ad (ZTA)) inventory to available network windows, breaks, and spots. Make changes as required to take advantage of revenue-producing opportunities. 
    • Monitor performance of the Addressable Advertising system. Use SQL and other analytical tools to drive insight and understanding of addressable advertising system performance. / Suggest performance metrics to determine acceptable levels of quality, current performance, or improvement opportunities. 
    • Make recommendations on operational and troubleshooting procedures to keep the addressable advertising system running smoothly. 
    • Assist in testing ad sales system upgrades and new technologies. Help implement improvements and measure the success of system changes. Provide support to the Addressable System Administrator and Data Base Administrator, as well as Echostar Systems and Set Top Box teams.      


    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Business Analyst will have the following:


    • Bachelors degree and three or more years of related experience; or three to five years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Understand data driven systems and their integration.
    • Comprehend desired technical requirements and ad sales infrastructure.
    • Experience in an ad sales organization a plus.
    • Ability to determine areas that need improvement and implement a plan of action.
    • Must be comfortable with aggressive schedules, as well as setting direction and priorities.
