    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Account Executive, Sling TV willbe responsible for driving revenue by selling video advertising programmatically, through insertion orders as well as creating unique monetize-able opportunities within SLING TV, DISH ANYWHERE and other DISH Media Sales digital/new media opportunities.  


    The candidate must have a history of meeting and exceeding sales goals along with deep digital media agencies and demand side platform relationships.  Additionally, strong knowledge of the programmatic landscape, digital video, over the top and TV everywhere environment.   The ability to innovate with ad opportunities and offerings will be key.   


    Candidate must be passionate, self-motivated with strong proactive communication skills, can handle multiple tasks and execute projects under set timelines is mandatory.  This position will be based in New York and report to the Director, Digital Sales and Advanced TV.  

    • Plan, pitch and present advertising revenue opportunities for International Sling TV and DISH.
    • Meet budgeted revenue goals and activity levels on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as defined for the International business.
    • Identify client business needs and proactively develop advertising solutions to meet client objectives.
    • Develop and cultivate relationships with mutli-cultural media agencies, demand side platforms and brands Become the multi-cultural media expert on OTT, digital and programmatic advertising along with digital convergence within the media ecosystem. 
    • Be an ambassador for the International SLING TV& DISH Network by representing at industry events and conferences. Maintain a deep understanding of current multi-cultural broadcast TV and online advertising trends, products and innovations.
    • Develop Sales and Pricing & Inventory to create and revise media plans that maximize the use of inventory while meeting both internal and external requirements. Monitor competitive activity and market conditions, providing feedback and suggestions to management regarding new product addition and existing product deletion.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    A successful Account Executive will have the following:

    • 4+ years OTT and/or digital advertising sales experience.  
    • Expertise (2-5 years) in multicultural markets – strong preference given to experience with Asian advertising marketplace within the U.S.
    • Minimum 2 years of Advertising Sales or media buying experience required.
    • Experience selling digital video and creative content campaigns. Established personal network of digital media contacts. 
    • Highly self-motivated, resourceful, enthusiastic, start-up personality. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Strong analytical ability and Media Math knowledge. Creative thinker and problem solver. 
    • Must be able to take ownership of a project from start to finish under direction, as needed.  Works well both individually and within a team.
