    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Dish Wireless is looking for Senior Manager who will build, develop, and manage the national Radio Network Planning Team. This team is responsible for establishing RF planning standards and guidelines, management of the coverage planning tools, and ensuring consistency in cell site design and practices across Dish Wireless. This position will lay a critical role in planning and building the cloud-native 5G network. 


    Primary responsibilities fall in the following categories:

    • Hire, develop and lead a team of employees & consultants who will create the guidelines for the following:
      • Radio network planning optimizing coverage and capacity
      • Propagation model tuning
      • Link budget, RF propagation, and technical analysis
      • 5G LTE optimization
      • Cell site architecture recommendations
      • Transport network planning
      • Data center planning
    • Lead and coordinate with National peer groups such as Core, OSS, Deployment, Construction and Program Management teams.
    • Lead and coordinate with regional radio network teams and ensures the guidelines are followed across the Dish 5G network

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    The successful Senior Manager will have:

    • 15 or more years of experience in the wireless industry
    • 5 or more years of experience managing employees as well as staff augmentation through contractors/consultants
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong relationship building skills
    • Cellular / Mobile Technology proficiency: 3G/4G/5G LTE and NR theory and practical experience.
    • Solid understanding of network design principles and techniques
    • Experience with drive test equipment, processes, and interpreting results
    • Strong RF and antenna theory and understanding
    • Ability to work with propagation tools, build network plans, interpret results
