    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    You will build creative and innovative solutions for our products, customers, and employees. Using agile methodology, we will empower you think outside the box as the subject matter expert to find the best solution for your team.

    We are looking for highly motivated and driven product owners to join the DISH family and lead our development teams in delivering world class software.  As a Product Owner, your primary responsibilities will include:

    • Defining, prioritizing, and grooming work backlogs for application teams.
    • Working with our customers to better understand the features and user stories, decomposing them into tasks for developer consumption.
    • Owning and managing the intake of work to the application backlog including day to day grooming and prioritization; facilitating iteration planning efforts to ensure that development teams have organized work.
    • Facilitating daily stand up meetings with development teams.
    • Coordinating cross-team delivery, managing dependencies, and defining best practices.
    • Planning and managing the delivery of software to our customers.
    • Sharing and evangelizing the work completed, backlog, and velocity for the team.

    Skills - Experience and Requirements

    If you want to be a part of a disruptive team, here’s what we’re looking for: 

    • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Demonstrated organizational, communication, and analytical skills in:
      • Project Management
      • Systems Analyst
      • Application Management
      • Product Management
    • Working knowledge of an environment where agile processes were used to deliver various types of development products (problem resolution, business features, etc.).
    • A strong desire to learn.
    • The ability to work well with both IT technical, as well as, business functional resources. 
    • A desire to have fun with a great team, building world-class software!
